To really impress your teacher you should do some research into what we use electricity for, and what kind of dire effects it would have on the planet if we lose electricity. But don't forget that solar power might not necessarily be lost :) Think about what would happen in hospitals of there was no electricity? What about travel, like trains that run on electricity. What about things that we charge with electricity? If this is for science you need to concentrate on the side of things more than on your characters because that is probably what your teacher is looking for.
