Random question, but do you think Tall girls look silly dancing?

Just curious, because I always feel I stick out as a sore thumb dancing at places because I’m taller (5’10 1/2)…I love to dance though and have been told Im good at it. Still I can’t help but feel a little self-conscious about it. Does anyone else think taller girls look odd dancing?

    there are no rules in dancing. one never looks silly dancing because you just do what you feel.

    No; I think it still depends on if you are a good dancer or not. However, I do think being tall makes you stand out a little more…

    Nope that’s not too tall if you were like 6’3′ then might look a little awkward but you’re a good height

    nooooo…i dance from childhood and i am pretty tall and everybody goes crazy about my height and body. taller is **** but if you have the same height partner lol :D D:D

    It depends on how well they dance. I think tall girls are gorgeous when they dance. =)

    im 5’11″ and i love dancing too. a lot of my friends are short but i dance with them anyways. its good to stand out! just be confident and have fun. plus when your tall, all the tall guys notice you more ha ha. what woman doesn’t want to be as tall as us. you need to be proud of it and not worry about what others think.

    Actually quite the opposite. Especially upscale clubs might even hire you to dance for them. Long legs get you places,and not just walking.
    Not to mention in the modeling industry,they won’t even look at you unless you’re at least 5’7.

    i feel like i do cuz everyone else is so low but think about it when we like go low to the floor we go farther and have more time to have fun hahaha
    if you can move your body do it.

    hahhaa this question is funny.
    well if it makes you feel any better, im only 5’2 1/2 (never forget the half lol) and i feel like i stick out like a sore thumb too, so i never dance! lol. i dont think they look strange or odd, and its easy for others to tell you to get over it and not worry about it, and im sure you will still feel self consious but try not too lol. im sure you are a greattttt dancer, and who cares even if your not. dancing is fore fun, it doesnt matter if your good!
    and im jealous i wish i was a bit taller, your lucky! ;)

    No way, people probably do notice you more but that doesn’t mean it’s for a negative reason. I think as long as someone is enjoying themselves dancing, then they look fantastic. Besides who cares? Just have fun and throw your inhibitions out the door and cut up that rug!

    I’m about 5”10 and I have like really broad shoulders and I feel like I look really stupid dancing. Especially because I feel like I am always having to squat or something so that I’m more on the same level with everyone else. Why are people so short!!!?

    I think it depends on how you show it off. Tall women with heels dancing is a def. no-no. :) I suggest some kitten heels if you want to look feminine. If you want to look laid back, get some bold, bright skimmers. Play up your length with attractive patterns to your longest areas, like your neck, hips, and waist. If you’re having a good time and you’re not prone to wardrobe failure(expostion of parts), who cares what you look like as long as you have fun! Go get ‘em, Tiger!
