Is it tacky for tall girls to wear heels?

I’m 5’9″ and somewhere along the line I got the idea that it was tacky for tall girls like me to wear heels. I’m not sure if this is true or not, but I wanted to see what you guys thought!

Certainly not. If you feel good in high heels and you feel that they compliment you, go for it.

i luv heels they make my legs look slimmer when i wear skirts it doesnt matter what anybody else thinks as long as you are comfortable (well as comfortable as you can be in heels lol)

NOT AT ALL!!! Honey, I’m 5’10″ and I wear heels almost every day! And we’re not talking 1-2″ heels… I mean stillettos and pumps and anything I like. If someone thinks it makes me too tall… good for them… I love heels! I love the way they make my legs look, I love the way they look in general, and they make me feel sexy, even if I’m just in jeans and a t-shirt, I still rock a good pair of heels!
Don’t feel like you can’t because you’ll be “too tall”! There’s no such thing. Does a 5’0″ girl wearing flats sound tacky to you? Does it make her too short? Probably not! Do what you like, wear what you want, and always be true to and love yourself.

Absolutely not. The only problem you would run into is if you are dating a guy that is shorter than you and HE has a problem with it. Also, if you are in HS and trying to fit in, you may want to lay of the heels until the boys catch up in height.
That is really the only reason it would even be an issue. Your friends shouldn’t mind. I am only 5’7 and a lot of my friends were a lot shorter than me. (really like 5’4- petite little things). It was never a big deal to any of them.
I think it actually looks super chic. It accentuates the lines of a body. Embrace who you are and go for it! If you feel comfortable in heels then wear heels. If not then don’t.

Wearing heels at any height is fine, especially in a real **** or elegant pair… they make your legs look lean, longer and better!!! I’m about 5’7″ and I prefer flats because I have trouble walking in them coz I’m far from coordinated!!!

No I wouldnt say it was tacky, that’s the wrong phrase.
Some short girls seem to feel the need to wear high heels to elevate their height a little but you dont need that. However if you want to wear high heels… then why not ? I think they are better suited to long legs anyway.The only thing is that some short men are a bit uncomfortable about a girl towering over them, but that’s just there own insecurity.

OH no honey!!!! Look at Kimora Lee Simons.
Shes’s 6 feet tall and still wears 3 inch heels. It is so not tacky for tall girls to wear heels. I are am 5’10 and wear heels all the time when I go out! Don’t let anyone tell you differently. Go out there and wear those heels. Be proud of your height it’s a blessing. And don’t let all those average and short people tell you otherwise. Because all they are, are jealous.

Not at all, as long as you keep it at two inches. It’s important that you do feel comfortable walking in them. Heels give you a better posture. You carry yourself with class instead of stepping in to flats and walking lump. Six inch and higher would be tacky, but than again those look tacky on anyone.

I am a very tall woman and I will wear heels on occasion. However a good rule of thumb is if you are on a date then take into consideration the height of your partner. You don’t want to be too much taller than your date.

i always thought his aswell,
& when i did wear heels i felt very uncomfy being so much taller then everyone else. but now i love them!

a tall girl ALWAYS make an outfit look better then a short girl!

I am 5′-9″ myself…my average heels have 3.5-4.0 inch heels.

If you are comfortable wearing high heels…then do it..

I only own one pair of flats…and I only wear them about once every 1.5 years…I always have on high heels.
