This is due to 2 factors. 1. is the men like to feel superior to women and height in one of those subconscious things that show superiority. e.g. A man who taller than another man feel stronger and better than them. Although this is not always certain but is a common psycological trait. 2. This follows a little bit of the first principle in that men and women seek out partners that are genetically and mentally similiar. A 5'5" man will look for a women who would be like 5'2", given that men tend to be naturally taller. However, this doesn't mean you should feel awkward. It means that you are going to want find a guy who is naturally tall like you. Usually men like these (basketball players if you will) will be more naturally atracted to you. Above all else; however, a guy will usually not care if your tall so lonfg as you don't care that he is short.If he is shorter than you, make all effort not to mention your taller than him as this could rub him the wrong way and cause you two to become distant. Any relationship you have with another person must have you two able to embrace each other's bodies and minds and not be critical to small things such as height. For your particular situation, You are most likely done growing and will not be able to shrink. (at least not until you become very old). Also high school kids can be very sinister and shallow so you may have a hard time dating. Luckily when you reach college, men and women mature decently enough that small things like that don't matter much and even if they are uncomfortable with it they will embrace it because they love you and not just your body. And you think it's bad for you! No, Hon, you should be finished growing now. If you can be patient, someone out there is going to see you, learn about you and love you. It doesn't matter how tall you are. You will just have to wait till he arrives. And the younger guys are more interested in a girl's looks but when they older, they tend to straighten up their act and get more mature in their choices.
