Depends on your mom too. Usually you tend to get yours one year after she did. NOt necessarilly, I was 5″0 last year(Now 5″4), extremely skinny, absolutely flat-chested, but I got my period last year, while my 5″7, full-chested, friends didn’t get theirs yet;but im SUPPOSED to be the “late-bloomer”!?!?!?! The age of menarche, or first menstruation, depends on a wide variety of factors, including nutritional status, the time of year the girl was born, how old her mother was when she started, and the girl's individual family history.
